As I can’t get involved with Movember this year, I’ve decided to take part in NaNoWriMo. It was a spur of the moment thing, a passing thought on the train home that’s somehow stuck with me.
I haven’t got an idea in mind, nor do I expect to reach the 50,000 word target. Because of this, I’ve opted against signing up with the official group. Instead I’ll be putting my own smaller spin on the event, a mini-NaNoWriMo if you will. That way, it’ll be less painful when I inevitably fail.
I haven’t really got the time to commit to something like this, nor any experience in crafting a compelling story. But that’s all part of the fun. There’s going to be a lot of winging it involved, and I can’t wait to see the results.
25,000 words. Thirty days. Mini-NaNoWriMo here I come.
